Passport Information

Through the U.S. Department of State, Tazewell County Circuit Clerk’s Office is a passport acceptance agency.

The hours for processing passports are Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
Forms are available in the circuit clerk’s office
You must bring the following with you:
  • 1 passport photo
  • Current driver’s license or state identification
  • Certified copy of your birth certificate (must be obtained from the County Clerk in the county where you were born, not the copy from the hospital) It must have your parents name on it and a raised seal.
  • 2 checks for each passport application
Fees: Adults 16 and over - $135.00 Children 15 and under - $105.00
If a passport is needed for someone 15 and under, both parents and child must appear and parents must have a driver’s license or state identification. If a passport is needed for someone 16 or 17 years old, the child and one parent must appear and parent must have a driver’s license or state identification.
