Your tax bill
Each year units of Government, Schools, Cities, Townships, Parks, Etc. file a tax levy with the County Clerk asking for money to operate their districts.  The County Clerk has the responsibility to figure and set tax rates for each individual taxing district, using the assessed value of your property.
Each Township in Tazewell (19 total) has a Township Assessor who sets the value on your home or property, this value is then forwarded to the Supervisor of Assessments office.  This is the information used by the County Clerk to figure the tax bill.
The Treasurer receives this information from the County Clerk to print tax bills.  Each office has responsibilities set by the State of Illinois.  The Treasurer can not set tax rates or valuations.
