Rural Road System and Rural Addresses |

Tazewell County has adopted rural road
names in conjunction with a grid system
to identify locations in the
unincorporated areas of the county.
The grid system is based upon increasing
multiples of 1,000 for each section of
land (typically a mile square) north of
the southern county line (with Logan
County), and east of the westernmost
point in the county (west of the south
end of Spring Lake at the Illinois
River). This forms the basis for
addresses in rural areas of Tazewell
